Are these real? (I just cant tell any more )
The plate looks ok but i have never seen a Waffen SS marked folk before the normal ones i have seen are SS Reich marked like the plate
Yeah that fork is strange plate OK made by a maker that made them. I used to have a Luft plate made by that same maker however most Luft at least are made by a Bavarian maker. timothy
Sorry, but I dont like either of the items. The fork; never, ever seen that font nor design of fork before. The style of the fork looks post-war.
The plate is a bit better, but I dont like it beacuse of the 'ch' of Reich is touching, and I never seen the font of the date like this. Could even be a original post-war military Bauscher plate, that has the SS Reich 1940 screen-printed on and has been rebaked.
From what I have learned here over the years the fork is a fantasy piece, the "Waffen" lettering seems very odd. For the plate a microscopic analysis is the only way to tell...
Best,
Jan
The Waffen SS marking on the fork shows no patina in the lettering. I would hazard a guess and say that the fork is perhaps period but the Waffen marking is not. The plate...the same thing. Old plate-newly applied markings.

Both modern pimping IMHO.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Ok thanks!
I think I'll pass on these, can't get a good feeling.
Well, if it is the period fork and engraving is added after - can someone expalin how it was technically made? Waffen-SS is not engraved but die strucked. Original or not but my opinion is that the fork and Waffen-SS engraving are from the same period.
