Waffen SS Gas mask

Article about: Hi,what do you think about this "probably" Waffen SS canister and mask,it was found many years ago in France.No feldpost number on it,only the soldier rank and name,it's 1942 dated

    That's what I thought , I've seen SS marked Canteens and other field gear , so why not gas masks .

    I don't see why there wouldn't be gas mask canisters individually labeled by SS soldiers out there too. This particular one still reeks of being a contrived label added to up the value though.... it just looks all wrong.
