Waffen SS License plate number SS-927801

hey all.

A few days ago I came across this set of WSS license plates in Normandy. The store owner told me it was from a Kubelwagen from the Falaise pocket Aug 44. I am hoping to find a good source here for recognition of the license plates to help the store owner out. Again the license plate number is SS-927801.

They look okay, IMO . My uncle has a schwimmwagen . They look like other examples I've seen from another member here as well.

Sadly I am not aware of any database of vehicle registration numbers which reaches this this high in the number range.

All I can add is the metal pressing is the same as an original Heer plate I have ( some member found out it was from an Opel Maultier halftrack but I never found out how he discovered that )

thanks alot guys. i found out today its 100% LAH. Its going to be a very good phone call tomorrow from me to the shop owner to tell him. LAH was 92 and Das Reich 155. Thanks alot again

If it's for sale in a shop in Normandy it wil be twice the price of anywhere else , even more now he can quote the unit !!

funny to see my plates on this thread , i bought it friday 7 june and a friend of mine told me they belongs to SS LAH , the store is Arromanches Militaria ( friend of mine )
