Wartime rucksack?

Is there an expert on this forum who can tell me if the rucksack on the enclosed picture is from ww2?
I can't remember when and how I acquired it.

Just spent some time on the net trying to match it up but no joy, i don't want to put a downer on it but maybe civilian?....

I searched the net too and couldn't find it either.
It's probably a civilian or scouting sack.

I have got a rather good news for you. The general apperance and details convinced me that it is a German WWII rucksack, but I couldn't find a clear answer. I searched some books and I have found a definite answer - the same model is presented on page 135 of Jacques Scipion and Yves Bastien book "Afrikakorps. Tropical uniforms of the German Army 1940 - 1945." Seems to be rather the late war example, maybe designed for Gebirgsjaegers.

Looks like a rather early piece with the aluminium hardware, and normal buckles (with straps with holes)
