    one of my friend bought this optic a few weeks ago. We didn't know what is is. Can you help me to solve this question?

    The markers on it:
    KF = Kälte Fett = cold weather lubrication
    bmj = Hensoldt & Sohn, Mechanisch-Optische Werke, Wetzlar, Germany.

    It looks like the top of a RK31, which has undergone some sort of work to alter it from its original form

    that's exactly what it is I think a richkreis 31 being used for something else

    If I am not mistaken, the first photo with the spring in it, if you look to the left there is a 3 letter code .
