Whistle Bakelite ?

Article about: I have just bought this Whistle made of Black Bakelite, I am sure it is German and from wwII, but does anyone know if it could be Whermacht, Feldgendamerie, NCO, police or ? It Works but cam

    It Works but came without cord.

    Looks like German WW2 whistle bakelite could have been used by any you have posted nice condition but missing cord as you state. timothy
