Hello
What are your thoughts on these boots.
Private purchased or Post war?
They are well marked but hard to read
Thank you very much

Not a fan to be honest.....I don't like the strap at the top, the sole and also the back stiffening strap not going all the way down to the sole....would be nice to hear other opinions because i'm still learning about boots...
cheers

Hello,
They're not issue Reitstiefel, but civilian boots sometimes worn by Wehrmacht Heer Offiziere...this said, this type of riding boots was produced for 40 years at least and nothing allows us to determine the production date of these examples. They do have a hard shaft so even if they're from the right era, they were not allowed for field use...
A photo shows a pair of similar boots with closure strap on the upper part of the shaft (but with a soft shaft) worn by an Offizier of the Panzerbrigade 113 in Lorraine when meeting Manteuffel, the Kommandeur of the 5. Panzerarmee at the time
Thanks
