Hello, need some help identifying these y straps, i believed them to be post ww2 german or austrian, but they do not match and they are the same pattern as ww2 german y straps. They look to have had some pads removed, could they possibly be ww2 re-issued post war???

The removed pieces are the padding for the post-war Austrian or BGS Y-straps...they're not original!A few other details will tell you that these straps are not legit!

Thanks for the reply, that is what my first thoughts were but they did not match, are they early post war y straps?

    Hello,
The kind of item that can fool young collectors. The removed padded parts are not the only giveways here...
The stitching around the hook on the backstrap is always rounded on genuine WWII german Y-straps, here it's a square.
The way auxilliary straps are riveted is also a red flag...
    Good for reenacting...
    Thanks
