WW2 or Post War German Map case?

Here is another item my picker brought over yesterday, it is a map case, but I cannot make out any markings, it came with the 2 "pens" as shown

Can anyone tell me if it is German or other as well if it is wartime?

Agree - TR era. You may find a very faint stamp on the interior of the flap. They can be difficult to see. Try turning the case with the lid open in several directions under some light - it may appear. My case is quite similar with only a very faint marking. NH
