Civilian most likely. The sole design and lack of nails make it pretty clear. This is the type used with Kandahar bindings. You have the toe hardware and the recess in the heel present to lock the boot into the binding. Papa Kiser should chime in. NH

It's ok if civilian, in the war (and least here in Hungary) the troops used anything they could get their hands on.
My main concern: is it a wartime, pre-1945 made boot?
