    Personally I would keep them.
Personal provenance, hand-down from family member PLUS Zeiss optics, (arguably the best optics then AND now!)
    Lovely piece of kit.

    Regards etc

PS: As an aside, did your grandfather serve in the Pacific by any chance, because the markings appear, to me, to be Japanese.

    Mike,

Look like a good set of binos, I'm guessing some sort of export model judging by the the Japanese or Chinese writing, I don't know which!

I know the Chinese bought M35 helmets and the Japs were allies.

I expect someone will know for sure.

6 x 30s are not the most valuable so I would keep them as part of the family history, do a bit of nature watching or just spy on the neighbours?

Some markers are in Traditional Chinese (TC),China use Simplified Chinese (SC) instead now.The marker "德國製" means Made in German. "蔡司" is the company name of "Zeiss" in Chinese. But in WWII Japanese also use a lot TC too, especially for something formal or important.
I am not sure what's the real meaning of "四集", maybe Japanese's last or first name.

    Hope these info help!
