Y Straps, what are your thoughts?

Article about: Hey guys, what do you think of these Y Straps? Are they a late war production? Also, the auxiliary straps have been removed at some stage. was this common practice? Thanks guys Mark

    what do you think of these Y Straps? Are they a late war production? Also, the auxiliary straps have been removed at some stage. was this common practice?

    Yes, late war with that unusual ( but period ) rear hook. It is legit - see this thread https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/field...e-they-243173/ ( I have a similar set and eventually they got a thumbs up )
    As to the auxiliary straps, if you didn't have a backpack, they just got in the way - so, may as well cut them off!

    Mid to late war Y straps RBN numbered agree that is a funny end clip, as stated may have been used as part from earlier Y straps. timothy
