Hi Steve, im glad you have taken interest. they dont make these anymore, it is very beautiful.
Its called "discovery cross", has you know portugal had several colonies, we discovered brazil and a lot more. This type of cross is related to those times.
The portuguese term is " Cruz dos Descobrimentos" in english " Discovery cross".
The rank is" Graduado" or "Graduate".
