model40 the number 90 is for silver plated . the mug have some small scratch and the finish is not silver plated , look like nickel finish ( i received not dark ) i think the seller polish all stock before sell .
WoW !! Love those attic finds, just imagine how many attics out their thru europe which have not been touched in years, like a candy store !! Well done !
Very nice.. Great find./
Very nice..
I only collect German Luftwaffe items, but, this time, I could write something about these UK items.
The Compass is a typical and common RAF compass used over many (I would say... all? From bombers to hunters...) the british planes of the second world war. Well made and very useful for flight navigation. Not difficult to find, even boxed and in perfect conditions, hence not very expensive. Nice. Is it in good working order? I think that there was a RAF base in your area.
AM stands for Air Ministry.
The number 6A means that it was part of the flying equipment. Frankly I don't remember the difference between the markings 6A, 6B, 6E...
Nice Find!
Your a very lucky man - treasure them please!
Fantastic pair )
