looks like an army eagle on your hat?
unfortunetly... the collector put the army insignia on because the original EG&A had been taken off
I have that same cap myself. I was told it was pre ww2 but not sure what branch it is. It does look similar to 1930's USMC caps but i have not been able to find any other pics of these caps. And like yours, it also has US coat of arms on it. Someone suggested to me in might be a early Military Academy cap.
It is an american visor the marine corp visors are different colors
