Another bootsale BD

Article about: Hi all. picked up this 1940 patt BD at a bootsale, was told it belonged to an army surgeon. Its an average BD but i was wondering what the red and blue stripe on the arms means. any ideas? M

    Hi all. picked up this 1940 patt BD at a bootsale, was told it belonged to an army surgeon. Its an average BD but i was wondering what the red and blue stripe on the arms means. any ideas? Many thanks.

    red and blue is guards division
    IE irish , scots , grenadears , coldsteems , etc etc

    OH also blues and royals ,and life guards

    This blue and red strip is the arms of service stripe for the Royal Engineers. If the red was to the front it would be for the Royal Artillery, John.
