Those look like genuine blood stains,over time blood will look like rust because of the iron in its properties

Extremely salty condition.
Take a sample to a Laboratory and have it tested.
If its blood, they will confirm it.

Yep.. Looks like blood to me. It looks quite salty.
I wonder if the owner Survived the war??? We will never know, I guess.
