Baby's Gasmask

Gods it makes me sick... when I left home in the 80's there was one of those gas masks in the loft, part of my collection. Perfect condition and with filter. Mother moved and it was left behind.

Nearly as bad as the ex throwing MY medals away when we split!

Did it come with a box? i've herd the boxes for them are extremely rare

I believe it did include the box. I can't imagine this would increase the value to $5000, though.

I agree even with the box $5000 seems too steep

Whitehunter, there's no chance of it still being there either, the building was demolished a few years ago. As for my medals, I could take a JCB to the nearby tip! Thankfully she hadn't thrown my collection medals / badges etc.

She just threw what she could see. Having just got my collection out after years (thanks to this forum), I'm still realising that bits and pieces are missing. It took a few months for me to realise that mine were gone. My grandfather's medals are in the regimental museum, thank the gods. He signed up in 1915 and didn't leave until 1957! What he did give me.. that'll be a new thread soon.

As for the babies gas mask, the one I had stank of C.S. gas! Maybe someone got it's use confused.

lol martyn maebbe they thought it was for gassing babies but i tihnk if you contact the mod they can re issue the medals themselves my grandad did it for my nans ones coz i have them dont bothere with any UN medals though its only gold foil on card ffs at least ours were!!
