Hi Guys, this is the end section of a US "Parapack". This was dropped on the besieged town of Bastogne in Dec 1944.

The item was picked up by a local farmer at the time and kept in his barn.

The pack is made from heavy canvas and is padded with thick felt material. It is crudely marked with a painted letter "M" which stood for Munitions.

    Cheers, Ade.
