Nice books rick
There does look like there was a certain amount of 'working together' on the two sets by the publishers. Very interesting
Cheers

Steve guess what i found in a car booty near ours this morning not as cheap as you got them for but i certainly love them worth £10.00 i wouldnt have spotted them only for you posting yours so i thank you for another of your interesting posts
cheers Ronnie
Well Steve, went to the car boot this morning, apart from getting drenched to the skin, and slipping on my arse in the mud, to add insult to injury, there wasnt one bit of militaria on the whole site, the only thing i came awa with was a plastic bin liner so my car seat didnt get soaked or caked with mud, and more insult when i got home, the wife thought it was hilarious, i give up, but only till the next time.
Nice one Ronnie ! They look in really good condition Glad you found them because of my post
Davejb.......I am sorry to do this to you mate but....... ROFL !!!!!

Well, it's taken a while, but thanks to a fellow anorak I can identify the intended contents of the ammo box.
C324 Mk1:
8 x No.527 tubes, each containing one 25pdr cartridge.
There was originally another panel with 8 circular holes which was welded where the rectangular scars can be seen, identical to the panel remaining at the bottom. These held the eight containers in position.
All the best,
PB
WoW ! Now to find some 527 tubes
Thanks PB
