Car boot discovery - Help identifying

Article about: Hi guys Well I paid a visit to my local 'indoor' carboot this moring and got this for £3 ! I am hoping the 41 denotes the year. Other than than I am stumped as to what type of helmet it is.

    Looks like a few of these fellas are wearing the same helmet...or just poor quality photography.
