    You should show your pin . It's nice when it all stays together to many groupings are broken up. Good thing you saved your grand fathers items .

    Must have missed this thread way back when. Gary, you really lucked out
    with this grouping - Congrats. It's a 'once-in-a-lifetime' type of thing

    Actually, credit should really go to my mum tbh. She rescued the stuff from my uncle's very leaky garden shed, bless her. Dad refused to go through it, so it all sat on the loft for the best part of 40 years. It's only now that I'm starting to go through it - most of it is boxes of paperwork as grandad was a staff officer in the Polish army.

    Here is a photo (front and rear) of the Auto Union pin. :-) As you can see, it's a little bit more dinged than yours. The pin is almost certainly pre-war (some kind of car dealership freebie I think) as grandad escaped from Poland via Lithuania, Latvia and Sweden to France, and thence to the UK.
