Ewan sorry the photos didn't come out so good.Gary
Was looking on the net the other day and say a tinnie that I had. When I got this grouping I didn't know these two things went together.
How much did you get for these items.
Doggert I still have everything from this grouping .
The enameled stickpin with the DKW on it,- the initials stand for Dampf Kraft Wagen,- it was originally a not too successful steam-driven car Co. In 1932 DKW merged with Audi, Horch & Wanderer car companies to form the "Auto Union", hence the logo of the 4 overlapping rings for the 4 firms as on your stickpin. Note the present day Audi logo of the 4 overlapping rings. In WW2, the Auto Union produced the Sd-Kfz 222 armored car.
wow that is a beutiful collection bet your happy with all that well done
tom
Do you have these things in a display now?
Triskelsonne thanks for the info after lots of searching on the net when I first got the pin I found the basic info you posted . The good thing about this pin is I use it as a tie tack and nobody knows what it is . Tom this was my best buy ever and I still dream of finding another like it. Glenn I know have the uniform on a stand and have put a lot of the German items in holders buy most of it is still in the shipping box. Gary
Thanks for alerting me to this, Gary! An amazing find!
