Hi all. Picked this up today, mainly due to its similarities to the WW2 German gas mask canister, and was told that it was purchased in France. I have searched the web and cannot find anything so perhaps someone can help me out? It has a couple of ink stamps on the lid. One is illegible and the other I can only make out ET...... CHAIRE which sounds French to me. On the bottom it is marked LU38. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance
