Greetings All!
Thought I would share some of my finds from this weekend.
The first group of items were donated to the thrift shop I volunteer at. It appears to be an estate clean out for Army Captain Henry C. Pitcher. Couldn't find any details for him online.
Nothing earth shattering but still some pretty cool items none the less. First up is a not so common 49 star US flag. The flag measures 3'x5' and was made by Bull Dog Bunting.
It seems the Captain may have taken his rank a little too far. I assume this was given to him at retirement by the 11th Transportation Battalion (Terminal) at Fort Story, Virginia.
A pretty neat piece, however I'm not sure what to do with it. My 2 year old has taken a liking to it, so I may hang it in his room so Captain Pitcher's memory lives on.
Close up of plaque and DUI's.
DUI's are as follows:
Service is our Product - 24th Transportation Battalion
The Doers - 6th Transportation Battalion
Resolute - 7th Transportation Group/Brigade
Freedom's Guardians - Forces Command (FORSCOM)
Preparedness Dependability - 11th Transportation Battalion
