    Not a rare item, but still nice to discover.

    Being RAF marked it is a little harder to find than an Army or ARP version.

    Again this was something that about ten years ago, there were loads of, at most shows and fairs, dealers always seemed to have these shell dressing, but I must say again not such an easy find these days.

    The cotton in the bandage was probably processed at Edward Hall brothers Whaley Bridge.

    Do you have other history on that house from WW2?

    By the way you live in a beautiful part of the world, I have visited Bergen. Am I right in saying U Boats moored there during the war?

    I do not think a radio operator would have any an item marked by the British military.

    I don't know,it's only a story but what i do know is that in the same area there where drops from England...buuuut how this turned up in the house i can only guess

    No it's only story's going on but i will check more up there
    It shure is beatiful,and yes there where and still is a huge u-boat bunker here in Bergen.
