    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Hi Mart would it be possible to get a more clear picture of the photo contained in the wehrpass.
    From behind the glare I can just about make out a lightish colour shirt and a black tie.
    Maybe some kind of uniform?

    Hi Mart, don't know how much of the Wehrpass you have read yet, but he saw service in the French Campaign in 1940 and ended up in North Africa in 1941.

    Trained on the Mauser K98k, MG34, P08 (Luger) and Hand Grenade.

    Enlisted in the town of Parchim, Mecklenburg.

    One other thing mart, actually two, firstly can we have a look at the flip side of the olympic pin its always a good reference detail for the hobby and collectors.
    And secondly what is the date of birth given in the werhpass it would be interesting to see at what age he volunteered for service in 1936.

    Mart, very nice family items, especially love the military manual, some very nice referencing material in there regarding uniform wear and awards and designs of trench warfare builds, thanks for showing

    Hi Kris,
    My home camera is not too great for resolution will use one of the optical inspection scopes at work tomorrow to get an impressive result (hopefully!!) 15 Mai 1917 was his birthday so he was 19!!
