    Hello.

It pays to have a man on the inside! a colleague of mine is involved in the local village jumble sale, and knows I am into this sort of stuff.
I could do with some info on the helmet. I have seen one on ebay, but there is no info on use or history. would it even have netting?
The gas mask is in superb condition, and the "torch" is great. I assume it was the equipment of an individual, and Horsham is my home town. So a local.
It is all dated 1938. The stripes dropped out of the bag it all came in. He asked for £2.50 for the lot. I was a bit more generous, but still a bargain.

Not a military helmet, (can't remember what its for) so the netting shouldn't be on it. May have been done by a child, to play war. Nice netting though, and a nice torch.

    Thanks Pete.

The helmet is a sort of composite, so maybe a fire/police issue? Can't seem to find anything about it online.

Hi Brian, an excellent deal! Well done.

For info on your helmet, look no further than here on the forum:

A good deal and the Cromwell helmets are worth a bit on their own.

Thanks for the help everyone. I might remove the netting and display it on my mk2.
