magic box from village attic fair

hello here is a very interesting box i reacently found in a village fair. this was a box made and painted by the german solder, probably for holding papers, messages ect
by the size. it was made from parts of an ammo box,plus
surprise, the bottom of the box has come from a mine field sign







pour le moment rien de spécial !!! (mais) :??:



fermeture récupéré d'une boite de munitions,et zinc. puis peinte en marron ocre typique, façon allemande,et pour la surprise sympa ;
la voilà.



c'est un panneau pour un champs de mines qui à été découpé pour
faire la boite.C'était même monté à l'envers.
puis peinte avec la même peinture que le reste ,mais il a eu du
mal à rester comme le panneau était déjà peint
le panneau est peint blanc avec un ligne rouge autour puis
marqué minen en haut et mines en bas et la magnifique tête de mort au centre

Chris, I think the MINEN plate was used where the box was constructed or reinforcement like.

Thanks - I've rarely seen this type of logo without it meaning some sort of explosive. What do you thing the original contents could have been?
