Hi Steve, do you want the good news or the bad news?

The good news is I can help. The wheel you have is actually a WW2 Jeep "combat rim" wheel. I can see why the other was stolen as these fetch good money.

Now the bad news: original are expensive to buy, but you can get repros now. I am out of touch on current prices, but years ago you were looking at £90 for a repro....

    Try here: Jeeparts UK

    Cheers, Ade.

PS: Like your Land Rover ambulance body chicken shed!

Thanks for that Ade. I can't see any mention of wheels on their site, I'll phone them next week. Looks like I might be best off drilling some other wheels to suit.

Hi Steve, I looked and could not find any either but I know they have stocked them. Graham and Amanda are nice people and a pleasure to deal with.

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade, I must for once dissagree with you, The wheels shown has 6 stud holes and not the 5 for a jeep. I have a pair of 6 stud split rim wheels exactly the same as the one shown and they are definitly off of a 10 cwt. airborne trailor. John.

Hi John, just counted them and you are right! I should not post with a hangover!

These will be the later pattern wheels found on British trailers. Let me call my mate in Ripley, he might have one.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi David, I would love to post some pictures but I'm not particularly computer literate could you possibly email me and explain how it works. Is it similar to an attachment for an email? You can contact me on [email protected]

    Many Thanks Louis

Ade, Did you manage to get in touch with your mate in Ripley? Can you think of anywhere else I could look for a wheel? I've posted a wanted ad on Milweb.
    Cheers, Steve.
