Article about: these are my first relic helmets 1x British 1x US apparently found in a french farmers barn i got them for £40 but the one that interests me the most is the US one it still has both of its o

    so guys i was thinking about give the US M1 lid a clean what you think leave it or clean it, if clean it what would the best way without using any acids as i dont want to get into anything i dont know about

    Hi Nick, both helmets don't appear to have any active rust on them. Now that they out of a damp barn and are stored in a modern heated home you should have no problems.

    Brush them off with a soft paintbrush to remove any loose rust particles, and that should do fine.

    Nice helmets I wouldnt call them relic since they are in a good condition..
