I would also say Victorian , the forging is sloppy and not of the quality you'd expect from a weapons maker , also being two pieces would make it much weaker in combat . Still a very nice wall hanger .

As Phil and a few others suggest I would also say Victorian.Hang onto it though.Things like this can only increase in value and it will look cool in a display!!!

Great all around piece for [almost] everyday use... getting more candy when trick or treating, running off unwelcome guests, clearing ice and snow from roofs, the tip is probably great for grilling rabbits, marshmallows even?
