Article about: I hope it did save some soldier life. chris

Default Omaha beach German banner used by wounded soldiers.

This was given to me years ago from a farmer in colleville-sur-mere .who had it in his farm. The story is ,it was used by the wounded soldiers of the US first division on D-day .The reason it is cut is because they used most of it for band-aid because they run out of them. Before is was used for this, the banner was on the Marie in Colleville sur mere and brought to his farm with wounded soldiers.

A cool flag that may have kept an enemy soldier alive. Great story.
