I am glad I was able to preserve a piece of D-day.
And was able to bring it back to the states.

I was lucky,a few weeks ago I was able to call to the farmer who gave it to me.
he sold his farm in colleville sur mere and move to Bayeux his is 92 years young now.
It was very nice to talk to him.

Great Item Chris, it adds so much to know the history behind the items we collect, it adds a depth not found with many of the anonymous collectables we own.
