Unusual Bayonet, Need Help!

The Turkish bayonet looks similar but has different crossguard. See Pictures.

they are very similar though, whats the reason for the shape of the blade?

The form of the blade allowed to the hand more free space about the muzzle while working with the ramrod.

Article about: Does anyone know anything about this bayonet it was found in my great uncles loft after he died, sadly I know nothing about its history or where it came from. Thanks Danny
