That's great, Thanks Steve1
This may be of some interest. It's the Home Guard in Pattingham, the next village from where I was born. Several of the chaps in the photo's are the grandfathers or uncles of kids I went to school with, indeed, I went out with Tom Ray's niece when I was at school. The photo's of the spigot mortar crew and the Northover Projector are taken at Burnhill Green on the edge of the Earl of Dartmouth's estate Patshull. It was interesting seeing that there was a 'Weapon Training School' at Burnhill Green, it's a sort of a blink and you'll miss it kind of place. My brother will be interested as well, he lives a mile outside the village, and i'm sure he's not aware of this interesting bit of local history. It's a small world.
Thanks for sharing.
