Bolt actions, regardless of spec, can always be cocked and dry fired.
New spec semi auto rifles and SMG's are basically welded shut.
Cheers, Ade.

If you are going for a M91/30 it would be worth reading up on them here:

Cheers, Ade.

Hi danny,
Best of luck with the rifle i have both the M91/30 and the carbine models, you want go wrong with them as a first weapon.
ade is right they are a great rifle, and ryton arms will give you a good deal. I was very lucky buying my carbine it is in brand new condition as ia was in storage since the war, it is 1942 issue so there are some good guns out there.
dave.
Ryton is a good company to deal with, a few of the deacts that I've owned over the years have come from them, they were all nicely done and not completely butcher during the Deactivation process.

"Now, I've designed this like a collapsing bag ! "
It looks like I'm goin for the Mosin Nagant 91/30 Rifle! I just have to convince my dad has he's done his usual and said its a waste of money and isnt worth anything. If you knew his past, he'd be the last person you would expect to tell people about what to spend their money on!
Good Call Dan, Mosins are my downfall, particularly the 1891/30 model ive too many! LOL. and you can tell your dad that de-act ww2 guns are an investment as I can see the value appreciating in years to come.......least, thats what I told the wife!
Post a pic when you get it, or check its stampings out on
