A vast majority of the helmets got buried in huge pits, there are photos to prove..

my english teachers dad was one of the people in charge of dumping some of the german items in the ocean, he kept some gave i them to my teacher which my teacher then left in britain when he moved to canada. he had a great collection from the sounds of it though
