1. A Japanese soldier carries his wounded comrade off the battlefield in China, 1939. Photos of Japanese soldiers performing acts like this are scarce.

2. American soldiers line up with Dutch girls dressed in traditional clothing. February, 1945.

3. Our beloved Goering fattens himself up. I always thought that this photo was hilarious.

4. A shellshocked reindeer in Murmansk. I always liked this photo. It's like the reindeer is completely oblivious to what is going on.
