    Cheers Ned,

other than the bleeding obvious one started two days ago... D'oh! although that's specific to WWII I used the 'search forum' tool on the right using 'films' and 'war films' with no results.

    Happy days.

Here's one that may interest you Eric.
Made in Sep. 1945,12 months after the Arnhem battle.

    I'll quote the sleeve,
"One year later the survivors returned to the actual battlefield amid the ruins of the town to re-enact an action in which they gained the admiration even of the enermy.Theirs is the Glory was produced entirely with-out the use of studio sets or actors and every incident was either experienced or witnessed by those who appear in the film.Original footage shot at the time is interwoven to produce a remarkable piece of cinema history."
It's a ripper and one for Para enthusiast for sure.
    All the best
    Dave
The actors in this film are actual combatants

By memory it was a fantastic movie, I don't normally rate Jason Donovan too highly but he was very good in this film. I'll have to search it out.

Ahh over look the JD actor (I know it's difficult but well acted)
Tough DVD to find for me!! It was a CH 9 produced film.
I located a copy from the UK as a double sided DVD mated with a unwatchable film called "Lust for freedom"!!!!!!

Nothing further positive to post on this matter, opening up a probable Pandoras Box, but I'm actually sick (as an Australian ex-serviceman) of the historical / political distortion of our military conflicts.
