    Default A bit surprised to see how Hitler spent his millions!

    Looking through an article, this came up as suggested, had a laugh as I was surprised to hear that Hitler was quite up with fashion and big boys toys (not just bombs and planes!), hey if you have the money, may as well spend it right?

    None of this is new information.

    A random example for the benefit of German-speaking members; this article covering some of the same issues (tax exemption, expensive gifts from sponsors, huge income from Mein Kampf royalties) was published nine years ago:

    Die Akte Hitler: "Der Führer ist damit steuerfrei!" - SPIEGEL ONLINE

    This is predictable behavior out of powers that be in totalitarian regimes. The late Kim Jeong Il of the DPRK was well known for his grotesque accumulation and consumption of Hennessy.
