In the same vein, here's an article from the 'Daily Wail' about Apley Hall in Shropshire. Hitler was allegedly going to make it his official residence in the U.K. should Operation Sealion have been successful. My brother used to live there in a mews house until last year.

Funnily enough, at the bottom of the article is a photo of the town of Bridgnorth taken from the bank of the river Severn in low town. In the top right of the picture you can see the tower of St. Leonards church in high town, I lived immediately next door to it in the 90's.

Small world! I only lived down the road! I remember studying Hitlers Plans to move to Bridgnorth In secondary school. Anything to try and make it seem more exciting than it actually was!

I used to live in Moat Street on the corner of St.Leonards Close. Do you remember the 'Old Curiosity Shop' at Northgate? That was only 100 yards from my door. I remember they had a couple of Picklehaube's in the window for years, couldn't sell 'em, either too expensive or fake I guess....And the huge antiques centre in Whitburn Street, that was good, I had a few bargains from there and the old place that shut next to the market. Then there's the Mill antique centre in low town....I could go on...happy days!!
