my new Bootsale find Hitler as a Rat, but what is it, is it for nedels ot what, is ther a value on an item like this, looks funny for shure, one side hitler and other side i think hiroito or so, it is marked 1942, i had to clean it then it was super dirty so it looks like a mint item as well
I assume the maroon ball is plush-like? If so, it's a pin cushion. During the war, there were hundred of different variants of pin cushions made bearing Hitler's likeness, with the pins usually going in his rear. With all of the wartime production, it was another way to constantly remind those on clothing lines what they were working for (in essence, propaganda). I believe President Roosevelt had one on his desk (I've seen a pic somewhere, but I can't find one at the moment). I'm sure this one is American. It could be worth quite a bit amongst Americana / pincushion collectors. Hope this helps.
By the way, from the glasses, I'd have to say that the other figure is Tojo. During the war, Tojo was seen more as the main enemy in the U.S., even before Hirohito.
