Hi,
thanks for your comment on the helmet, it did have a decal complete but it was taken off. they always leave the backing of the decal on as they are baked on, i love this one as it is from the bunker area and in it,s time it must have been down there. It is a L.A.H, Liebstandart Adulf Hitler, his persomal body guard i think.
regards, dave.
I got this from the vets daughter a couple of years back, she told me he was in intelligence and when they got to berlin after it fell he went to the bunker ,he swapped a packet of cigs with a russian for this plate , the daughter told me her father had it on display and never stopped talking about his plate from Hitlers bunker, the bunker was in the grounds of the chancellery so they must have used chancellery plates etc, rgds Dave
Hi Dave,
love the plate in great condition to, if it could only talk what stories it would tell. I wonder how much more is out there from the bunker, it would make a great collection.
dave.
Hello Panzer 3, could you post a close up of the decal remains?
thanks
Regards
Matt
