And about time too! These brave men desrve more than a belated gong for what they endured. And the same goes for Bomber Command vets as well.

The Government have alway's been tight when it comes to giving out medals to the military. There was a petition for every former member of the armed forces who served during the reign of Queen Elizabeth to receive the Diamond Jubilee medal. Not a cat in hell's chance. The list of those who are entitled to it makes interesting reading.

Indeed it does Steve , why the British Government has always been so crap at handing out medals is beyond me and the case of the Artic convoys and Bomber Command is a bloody disgrace.

At last these brave men quite rightly have their campaign medal !!
