    G'day Ralph
Same mate. I think he's a class act for sure. I have four odd CDeB albums and love his "epic" type tracks such as Revolution and Crusade. Transmission Ends would have to be my fav track but there are many classy numbers from this magnificent artist.
I had not seen the vid for Last Time I Cried until a few weeks ago when I stumbled across it on utube and it put the tune into total perspective for me. I found the irony of the Jewish German WW1 Officer an interesting twist and the young Tommy in despair and doubt was a realistic and emotional portrayal of reality for many a young soldier facing death. Good stuff Chris

    Cheers Ralph

My favorite Chris de Burgh tune has always been "Borderline":

chris de burgh borderline - YouTube

    Walking past the border guards,
    Reaching for her hand,
    Showing no emotion,
I want to break into a run,
But these are only boys, and I will never know,
How men can see the wisdom in a war...

I believe I stumbled apon the reason why Chris DeBurgh (Davidson) pens such poignant anti war based lyric's to some of his songs.
He's a avid Military Historian and collector.
Borderline and the follow up two albums later Goodbye to it all
    The Leader
    Revolution
    The last Time I cried
    Last night
    Crusader etc.
    Good on him.

    Cheers
    Dave
