She is terrific, I watched the parade down the Thames on Telly last night until it got too late for me, a real spectacle. She was here in Perth last October to open CHOGM, 250000 people went to see her on the Perth foreshore, I can think of no one else that could draw a crowd like that. It was very nice to see the Royal Standard flying above Government House in Perth, maybe for the last time with Queen Elizabeth as head of state. God save the Queen.
I watched the whole flotilla, with a hangover, and now have 2 days off work in front of me thanks to Her Maj'.
Nobody does this stuff like we do
Indeed - she's been the reigning Monarch since I can
remember - and we were flying the Union Jack
back then.
God save the Queen.........!
Regards,
Steve.
Ahhhh Betty!!!! I doubt Australia will ever be a republic....no matter how much those republican academic toffy noses shout about us becoming one!!! I met her when I was 18 as part of a Air cadet honour gourd when she was in Sydney in 1988....she shook my hand and her husband said " nice turn out" !!!
This is my little corgi and I just love her to death!!!!!! I had a bad hair day sorry

You'd fit right in at the palace Eric!!!!
I'd like to offer a trade, Barack Obama for Her Majesty. We can even skip the whole election thing.
Congrats to her on 60 years! And to be around for that long and people still like you, that's quite an accomplishment.
Maybe you can take some of your collection and show Prince Harry!!!!
i have to say, as an American, that a true and great constant over the span of my years have been the grace, elegance and strength of the Queen.
i have felt aware of this since my earliest childhood memories.
perhaps Queen Elizabeth has never been my head of state but she is in some way the head of something larger... perhaps something of the better of what it is to be human. and i feel something of that every time i see her.
60 years. it's incredible.
