    Did anyone see the documentary on the destruction of Coventry last night on BBC2?(pic attached)

    Some amazing footage, however Hamburg and Dresden suffered much worse later on! Must have been sheer terror!

    Yea , i`ve seen that doc. before , nothing nice about air raids over cities !!

    Have you read the book Dresden by Frederick Taylor? Its chilling!

    Hi Wolfy , i`ll look out for it , from what i know and have read about Dresden , what happened there doesn`t sit comfortably with me shall i say ! ,

    Would the Germans have done the same as Dresden in 1940/41 had they the numbers and aircraft types available???? One for the theoriests that !!!

    Sure did!

    Am I right in saying Bomber Command dropped 1 million tons of explosives on Germany and so did the USAF ? Thats hell of alot !

    I think after Coventry the whole nation thought they would do!
