For those of you that have bought collections, sold collections, or even seen the former I need your advice. What is the best way to go about selling a collection? Item by item as a whole? Online, gun show, or auction? I am looking for your experiences and pros and cons. Thank you all in advance!

Selling a collection as a whole does not always bring the best price, but it is the best way of getting rid of everything in one go.

As Ade said, if you sell your collection as a whole you will take a hit on the price.
On the other hand selling them individually can take a long long time.
