Default Excellent tool for relic collectors

    Hi all

I think many of you are a bit like me.......avidly collect relics but sometimes get stumped about what a relic actually is. This is certainly true of a lot of items which, with a decent measuring device, you could positively identify something rather than have to guess.

So, whilst I don't normally like advertising for large multiples (they make enough money without me helping them), the following tool was purchased from Aldi for £6.99. If you have one near you, go get one fast !!!

    Here it is ..........

And now for the tool in action.

    A .50 calibre bullet.

    A .303.........

And now what I always thought was a .303 but it turns out to be a German 7.92mm !!!

You can also measure the 'inside' diameter of things....

    .....like these cartridges....

...and the outside of cartridges to !

    A handy little tool...comes with 2 free batteries !

I've been using one for a while now, mainly for the resoration and reconditioning of old gas masks, I used to make bashed eyepiece retaining rings and filter mounts more rounded again its a great little piece of kit, and cheap too!

    Thanks

I can highly recommend this tool, I've been using it for a couple of years and it's very reliable.
